'Tipping recession': Atlantic Canadian hospitality workers feeling the pinch

In an Angus Reid poll paid for by a tip-management company, 60 per cent of hospitality workers in Atlantic Canada said their tips fell over the past two years. About half said they depend on tips for basics like rent and groceries. Nova Scotia's new tip protections start April 1, 2027.

Changes to Labour Standards Code Will Strengthen Protections for Workers
